Phoenix, Arizona – September 8, 2017 – While the retail market may have taken a decrease in the 2nd quarter, the East Valley submarket has the largest concentration of retail space in the Greater Phoenix area. SVN’s Director of Retail Leasing & Sales Investments, Mary Nollenberger’s proves just how large it is.  Over the last month, Nollenberger has closed over $6.2 million in sale & lease transactions with over 95% of the closed deals in Chandler, Gilbert, and Mesa.

Last month, Nollenberger was honored as one of the “2017’s Most Influential Women in Arizona” by AZ Big Media, AZRE magazine.  “To me, the most important detail is the relationship behind every project, location, and the journey that we engage in,” said Nollenberger.  She prides herself in the commercial real estate industry in not only building relationships with her clients, but with everyone involved with the projects.  A few months ago, one of her retail developments, Crismon Gateway Village, owned by Rick and Donna Richmond broke ground on the upscale retail development located on Baseline and Crismon Roads. The news of her AZRE honor came on the celebration of the ground breaking ceremony that morning.  “This brought me to tears,” said Nollenberger. “In a time when you are tired, trying to be many places at one time, and being challenged every day, the news from AZ Big Media reminded me on why I love doing what I do, even through the challenging times.”

Many other retail developments such as Chandler Crossings, Greenway Marketplace, and all the preleasing for the Gilbert & Ocotillo retail development are all underway and nearly all leased and preleased.  Chandler Crossings has recently added new tenant East Coast Bagels to join Alamo Cinema Draft house, Blue 32, and East Valley School of Music.  Gilbert & Ocotillo retail development is lead by Rommie Mojahed and is co-brokered with Beau Flahart and Nollenberger.  Over the last month new tenants have leased space at the new development, including Advanced Ortho, Barre 3, Marcos Pizza, and Tryst Café for over $3 million is lease transactions alone.

“The most significant transaction this year is the one that is always around the corner, the ones we fight to achieve,” stated Nollenberger.  “They are the ones that seem like an unimaginable victory, until I have realized I have celebrated many of them already this year.” Nollenberger has been in the CRE industry over a decade and continues to prove why she is one of the top commercial real estate advisors in Arizona.  For any new advisor coming into this crazy world of real estate, Nollenberger says, “Be engaged and be excited.  Gain the trust from your clients because they will become your friends.”  Nollenberger will make a difference and at Desert Commercial Advisors, they are the difference.  The SVN Difference®
